The short answer: no
Muse Wonder is not free. There is no free API route to it: the Meta Model API requires billing. Muse Wonder Full is paid too — it is available only with a Muse Code subscription, and only on the higher tiers.
You may have seen the claim “Meta Muse Wonder: Free (consumer tier)” circulating. That claim is wrong — there is no free consumer tier of Muse Wonder.
What Muse Wonder actually costs
On the API side, access is through the Meta Model API and billing is required; there is no free route. Muse Wonder is priced at $4 per 1M input tokens and $20 per 1M output tokens — confirmed on Meta’s official pricing page, checked 22 October 2026.
On the subscription side, the Muse Code tiers are:
- Everyday: $5/mo
- High: $15/mo
- Power: $50/mo
- Maximum: $200/mo
Muse Wonder Full is included only on the Power and Maximum tiers.
What is actually free
Two things are genuinely free — and both are different models from Muse Wonder:
1. The consumer Muse app
The consumer Muse app is free, but it runs Muse Spark — a different model, not Wonder. Using the free Muse app does not give you Muse Wonder.
2. Muse Spark Open’s downloadable weights
Muse Spark Open’s weights are free to download from Hugging Face (meta-models/Muse-Spark-Open-816B-A42B). Muse Spark Open is also a different model from Wonder. And free to download is not the same as cheap to run: it needs around 1.6TB of memory in BF16, or around 530GB in NVFP4, so hosted APIs are the realistic route for most people.
