What is Muse Wonder?

Muse Wonder is an AI model from Meta Superintelligence Labs. It launched on 12 October 2026, alongside a second, more capable variant called Muse Wonder Full.

You can use Muse Wonder in two places: on the Meta Model API, where its model ID is muse-wonder-1.0, and in Muse Code. Muse Wonder Full is different: it is available only to Muse Code subscribers and is not on the API at all. Neither Muse Wonder nor Muse Wonder Full is open-weight.

Benchmarks

Scores on the Artificial Analysis Intelligence Index:

  • Claude Opus 5.5: 58
  • Muse Wonder Full: 56
  • Muse Wonder: 52

Pricing: confirmed on Meta’s official pricing page

Muse Wonder costs $4 per 1M input tokens and $20 per 1M output tokens, with cached input at $0.20 per 1M tokens (all prices in USD).

Confirmed on Meta’s official pricing page, checked 22 October 2026.

Muse Code subscription tiers

The other route to Wonder is a Muse Code subscription. The tiers are:

  • Everyday: $5/mo
  • High: $15/mo
  • Power: $50/mo
  • Maximum: $200/mo

Only the Power and Maximum tiers include Muse Wonder Full.

Subscriptions default to Contributor mode, which means Meta may train on your prompts and code. An opt-out exists.

How to access Muse Wonder

There are two ways in: the Meta Model API, which requires billing to be set up, or a Muse Code subscription.

As of mid-October 2026, Muse Wonder had not reached the consumer Muse app. Subscribers were given access first, and no date has been announced for the app.

Is Muse Wonder free?

No. There is no free API route to Muse Wonder. Two different things are often mistaken for a free version of Wonder:

  • The Muse app, one of the free things people confuse it with, runs Muse Spark — a different model.
  • Muse Spark Open’s weights, which are free to download — also a different model.

Not to be confused with Muse Spark Open

Muse Spark Open is a separate model, released on 15 October 2026. Unlike Wonder, it is open-weights: 816B total parameters with 42B active parameters in a mixture-of-experts (MoE) design, and a 1M-token context window. Its weights are free on Hugging Face, as meta-models/Muse-Spark-Open-816B-A42B.

Running it yourself takes serious hardware: around 1.6TB of memory in BF16, or around 530GB in NVFP4. For most people, a hosted API is the realistic route. Hosted providers include Baseten, Fireworks, Groq, Modal, Nebius, OpenRouter and Together. OpenRouter has been cited at $1.25 per 1M input tokens (reported).
