What FLUX 3 Max is
FLUX 3 Max went live on 19 October 2026. It is a fal Research post-training of Black Forest Labs’ FLUX 3, and it is distributed only via fal.
At launch it offers text-to-video and image-to-video generation. Clips run from 5 to 20 seconds, and native audio is on by default.

Speed, on fal’s own figures
Speed is the headline claim. In fal’s own generation-time table, FLUX 3 Max takes around 12.45 seconds to generate a 10-second 720p clip, compared with 126.44 seconds for FLUX 3 and 277.80 seconds for Seedance 2.5. Those are fal’s figures, published by the company selling the model, so treat them as a vendor comparison rather than an independent test.
The arena ranking, stated honestly
In Artificial Analysis’s preliminary image-to-video arena, FLUX 3 Max scores 1,139 Elo. It is marketed as tied for #1, but the board lists MiniMax H3 just above it at 1,141 Elo. The accurate description is “effectively tied at the top” – not an outright number one.
